Welcome, welcome to the 200th post on ohjustbooks.com!

200th post – looking back
2017 is when this came to life, and we’re now almost at 2026! Crazy that it’s been about 9 years, of which 2 years saw a new book review every single week! Then we had about 3ish years of zero to four reviews in a year. All those phases are part of me. My reading styles, preferences, and patterns have changed over time. The site seemed to evolve with it. I loved that it was there, all mine, and waiting patiently when I wasn’t reading, reviewing, or writing much. I always come back, and it looks different every time.
Lately, I’ve been reading more again, writing more again, and I’m also reviewing more again. I sometimes go in and update my About page when I feel like I have something different to say about books and related things. If you check it out, you’ll see a bit of the evolution of the site. Starting off on a free blogspot domain, I moved to self hosted wordpress and learnt a lot along the way. I’ve collaborated with so many authors and publishers, reviewed so many ARCs, shared my old classic loves and random finds, and had guest writers and contributors on board. I’ve enjoyed it all, and am grateful for it all.
200th post – now and next
The current stage is: I’m back to writing book reviews, and back to reading more often. I am wanting to write more essays and opinion pieces – I have so many book thoughts rattling around my brain – so maybe this is an attempt to get back in the groove. What else? I am looking forward to getting back into recording some podcast episodes. That’s something I’m definitely excited and hopeful about re-attempting. That’s all for now! Find me on Instagram at @ohjustbooks if you’d like, I mostly share what I’m currently reading.
This little post is to commemorate number 200. I don’t have much else to say except thank you for being here, for reading this, and I hope I have helped you find some great, enjoyable, memorable books.
My most commonly read and reviewed genres are: mystery/thriller, psychological thrillers, sci-fi and fantasy, and then some literary, contemporary, nonfiction, chick lit, and of course, indie authors.
Happy you’re here! 200!
