Being a teenager is hard. The only thing that can help you through that dark age is a strong friendship. Those bonds are the ones that make or break you in those formative years. Can you go back and think of that one person you used to think is the other half of your heart? Is that person still whom you call to share your stories, spill your secrets and talk about your hopes & dreams? If you answered yes to both of those questions, then you’re a very lucky person.
As a teenager, you make friends – instant and deep bonds. But as most people grow up, they tend to fade for various reasons, mostly circumstantial. This book is about a friendship, I like it when a YA chick lit talks about friendships rather than romance. Romance gets a bit boring after some time, especially when a 17 year old girl talks about finding the one and only person in the whole world who understands her & would make her happy for the rest of her life. In a world where things don’t last for long, you can still count on friends if you know to put your money on the right ones.
This is a story that talks about a girl facing her fears to reach the one thing she craves the most – her best friend. If you are introvert, you know how precious your friends are. And how furious you would be if one day, if you woke up to find them gone. What would you do to get them back? Apple picking at night seems like an easy trade off, doesn’t it? What about kissing a stranger? What would you do to find what’s lost?
