Fireside Chat with a Grammar Nazi Serial Killer by Ryan Suvaal
Rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
Book Summary:
Seventeen gruesome killings across the United States, within a span of six months and there is one clear connection among victims. They were all writers.
While media is decorating the murders with sensationalist stories, and law enforcement is playing catch-up, the homicidal maniac remains elusive and secretive.
Things get very interesting, when one day she decides to appear on an internet talk show for an honest fireside chat.
Book Review:
This is the first time I’ve been requested to review a short story.
Disclaimer : I have to preface this review by saying I probably will have grammar mistakes here so don’t kill me.
Yes, this story is about someone who kills authors that don’t proofread. Grammar mistakes piss her off so much that she kills them in inventively gruesome ways, each relating to their offenses. I am not sure if self published authors should read this, but if they do, I’m sure it will make them seriously consider hiring a proofreader.
“Proofread like your life depends on it” has new depth for me. I’m sure nobody has ever said it before, but now they probably will.
The Serial Killer appears on a talk show hosted by Corrigan Dante, and the bulk of the story is about their conversation on the dark web chatroom, with many viewers joining in.
Overall, a short, crisp, and engaging story. I read it in less than an hour. It was really fun to read, and I’m looking forward to full length novels or at least novellas by this author.
Lest I forget, there is explicit description of gore and violence, so be prepared.
