Faking Lucky by Q.D. Purdu
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The protagonist is named Desdemona. May I just take another sentence to say how much I love her name?
Moving on, this is a book about Desdemona and her faking the big O. Which is revealed on national television. By her ex. On a talk show. With his current wife.
Talk about embarrassment. And that is how the book starts.
The book is all about her journey to finding her big O, and encounters with various men.
I am not into erotic fiction and I don’t really prefer reading sex scenes, but I persevered solely because I liked Desdemona. She was kind, talented, independent, and she had her bad days. She was relatable and kickass. And she does find true love, eventually.
There was a bit of drama there which I personally thought was quite easily solvable. But it does get solved.
Yay happy endings.

Doesn't seem like my typical choice for a book, either, but your review makes me curious to read it!
Wasn't my typical choice either, but I'm glad I gave it a shot! Let me know if you like it 🙂
